Katy, Texas

This imposing three-story municipal center houses the city council, public service, and administrative functions of local governance in the booming city of Katy, all centered on a multi-story atrium that provides a “public forum” interior space. Situated in the heart of the historic downtown area, the neo-classical design is a statement of the history and traditions of the city, and at the same time looks forward as the first stage in a master plan for the revitalization of “Olde Town” Katy.

The project design process included a series of community surveys and town hall meetings to solicit ideas and input from the public.
