2017 is starting off strong for Turner Duran Architects! The Houston commercial architect was named the 2016 Small Business of the Year by the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce. The chamber made the announcement and formally acknowledged Turner Duran at the Chamber's annual awards ceremony, A Night of Celebration, on Friday, February 17 at the Norris Conference Center, CityCentre.

The Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce announced winners for Business of the Year in four categories - non-profit, small business, medium business and large business. Turner Duran Architects joined Towne Lake (large business of the year), Balfour All-American (medium business of the year) and Cypress Assistance Ministries (non-profit of the year) as winners at the 2016 award ceremony.

In order to be nominated for the award, businesses had to be active with the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce for at least one year. Nominees were evaluated based on several criteria, including contributions made to the community, financial stewardship, growth in employees and social responsibility.
