One of Turner Duran's recently completed projects, Katy City Hall, was used as a case study in the November/December 2016 issue of Design Cost Data ("DCD") Magazine. DCD Magazine is an industry leading resource on preliminary building costs and historical construction costs for real projects across the country.

The project budget was maintained from start to finish using Turner Duran's "family" of cost control spreadsheets. The spreadsheets track expenditures for commercial architecture projects in a comprehensive way including costs for building construction, site development, fixed equipment, furnishings, soft costs, and contingencies. The use of the spreadsheets for the new city hall resulted in the project being delivered without a single increase in the overall budget once the initial project design was approved, and without a single change order thereafter.
